For thousands of years, we have gone to sea.

We have crafted vessels to carry us and we have called them by name.

These ships will nurture and care for us through perilous seas,

and so we affectionally call them “SHE”.

To them we toast, and ask to celebrate Seas the Day!

Traditional Poem for Toasting A New Vessel

"Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic"

Ever find yourself dreaming of what could be?

To become a healthier version of yourself; to travel the country... or the world; to explore a passion or business idea that has been tucked away because the "timing wasn't right".

Dreams...BIG AND SMALL...are what us feel alive !

They give us joy and purpose!

SO, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

We're here to help motivate you to pursue those dreams.

Our 6-week Captainess Course will inspire you to jump start your motivation in a fun and creative way! Along the way, you will understand the importance of a healthy vessel and the need to drop anchor from time to time whether it is to stay afloat or simply reflect.

Grab the helm of your vessel and let's cruise!

Charting Your Course

We will begin to hone our navigating skills by looking up to the sky and seeing the bigger picture.

Let the beacon of your destination always light your way.

Bilgework

The bilge is the lowest ,inner part, or bottom point on the boat.

It's dirty and not fun work but it's necessary.

Buddhism suggests

that our problems and suffering arise from confused and negative states of mind, and in order to be happy we must have a peaceful mind.

We will be observing and reflecting upon our thoughts;

turning triggers into glimmers.

Dropping An Anchor

Dropping anchor is a way to take a break from driving. Whether it is to get out of the high seas, heavy winds and fog or simply find a peaceful spot to enjoy.

Buddhist principles suggests that we must move about in a way that doesn't exhaust us, but instead allows our body and mind to rest.

Our body and mind have the ability to repair themselves if given the chance to rest. In order to heal, it's necessary to stop, calm down, and take a break.

Raft Up

Rafting up is tying two or more boats together alongside so you can easily move from boat to boat.

Buddhism places great importance on developing loving kindness, compassion, appreciative joy, and equanimity as part of cultivating a caring and empathetic attitude towards others.

Gathering with community and making connections is important in gaining new perspectives, providing assistance and learning from one another.

Eye On The Horizon

In boating, the weather often dictates our path towards our destination and there are times we must stray slightly off-course or delay various aspects of the trip.

However, the horizon is ALWAYS in our sights and we keep cruising

and in time we arrive at our destination.

Such is in life.

"A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor."
